Ted is a construction, infrastructure and resources lawyer with more than 20 years’ experience in both private practice and in house.

Ted’s construction and infrastructure expertise has been gained working on a range of projects, including major PPPs, across the energy, road, rail, waste/water, education, manufacturing and pharmaceutical sectors and commercial, retail and residential developments. His expertise includes approvals and procurement, joint ventures, contract and consortium drafting and negotiation, advising on project risk, claims management, dispute resolution, environmental and safety compliance, professional and contractors indemnity, workplace relations, insolvency, governance and anti-corruption. His clients have included governments, developers, sponsors, contractors, operators, financiers and consultants.

Ted was previously General Counsel at one of Australia’s leading construction, mining and services contractors. He led a large team in the delivery of legal services across the Asia Pacific region providing legal, strategic, commercial, governance, corporate, compliance, ethics and risk management advice at all levels of the business. In addition to his work in relation to large scale infrastructure, construction and mining projects, Ted also advised on a wide range of legal issues including commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, governance, dispute resolution, employment and industrial relations, environmental, health and safety and anti-corruption control.

Ted was recognised in the Best Lawyers ® listing for Alternative Dispute Resolution & Corporate/Governance Practice in 2016 and 2017. In 2017 Ted was also recognised in the Construction/Infrastructure Law listing.

Ted is also the Head of the Brisbane office.
