Martin is a ‘bet the farm’ commercial litigator, engaged to act in complex, multi-jurisdictional complaints, as well as collective actions, where the quantum of the claims typically exceed $100 million.
Martin’s experience covers a broad range of sectors including insurance disputes, claims regarding financial services and financial product mis-selling, energy and resources, trade credit litigation, construction, insolvency, and class actions. Martin also has extensive experience working with, and for, litigation funders, having been involved in the litigation funding industry since commencing practice nearly two decades ago.
Martin began with the firm in 2008, spent seven years with a global firm in London from 2012, and returned to Piper Alderman as a partner 2019. Martin is the firm’s National Head of Dispute Resolution and Litigation.
