Tony is the Managing Partner of Piper Alderman and is an experienced commercial litigation lawyer who has specialist skills in both insurance indemnity advice and defamation law.

He has extensive experience resolving disputes over managed investment schemes and complex indemnity and conflict issues arising out of group claims against multiple defendants and responsible entities.

Tony has acted for numerous high-profile business people and politicians at both state and federal level in defamation actions against electronic and newspaper publishers and broadcasters.

His experience in the insurance contracts field includes drafting wordings for trade credit insurance and motor vehicle policies and acting in litigation concerning interpretation of policy wordings and application of the Insurance Contracts Acts and Regulations.

Tony also has extensive experience in large scale litigation, having acted for a conglomeration of insurers under the banner of the Insurance Council of Australia following the 1983 Ash Wednesday Bush-fires.
