Piper Alderman promotes Partners in its national Private Client Services team
Piper Alderman has announced the promotions of Donna Benge and Rod Jones to Partner in its national Private Client Services team. Donna and Rod are based in the Adelaide office.
Practicing in the areas of estate and succession planning, wills and estates, Donna's expertise includes developing estate and succession plans for individuals and businesses and advice, interpretation and drafting of wills and agreements and the administration and contesting of deceased estates. She also advises directors and trustees on fiduciary and trust issues and business structuring.
Rod has over 20 years’ experience advising trustees, trust beneficiaries, SMSFs and family businesses upon succession planning, governance, trusts and will disputes. He regularly appears as counsel in the Supreme Court representing those interests. In the highly regulated and complex field of Self-Managed Superannuation Funds, Rod is one of few lawyers accredited as an SMFS Specialist Advisor™ (SSA™) by the Self-Managed Superannuation Association of Australia.

Piper Alderman is delighted to announce the appointment of Stephen Hughes as a Partner in its national Employment Relations practice. Stephen will be based in the Brisbane office.
Stephen has over 20 years’ experience acting for a wide variety of organisations in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors across Australia as well as internationally. Providing high level strategic and operational advice to clients, Stephen’s practice has a substantial litigation focus advising on industrial relations issues, dispute resolution in the courts and Fair Work Commission, work health and safety legislation, workers’ compensation insurance exposures, discrimination and bullying/harassment, Directors and Officers and Employment Practices Liability insurance, post-employment restraints and confidentiality issues.
The appointment of Stephen means that Piper Alderman’s national Employment Relations team now has a specialist partner in each of their offices. Stephen’s appointment will strengthen their ability to attract clients, state-based as well as nationally, by offering a seamless national offering.
